Background & Problem

iD Tech is a prominent provider of technology education for kids and teens. Founded in 1999, the company offers immersive summer camps, online programs, and private tutoring that focus on coding, game development, robotics, and creative arts. iD Tech's camps are held at prestigious universities across the United States and internationally, providing students with hands-on experience in a college setting. iD Tech employs experienced instructors and maintains a low student-to-instructor ratio, ensuring personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.

While at iD Tech, it became clear that certain courses had further developed curriculum than others. This gap became apparent particularly in more advanced programming classes, such as those featuring C++ and Java.

Solution & Result

In order to improve student retention, I focused on creating tools and educational content for students to feel more engaged. In turn, I consistently ranked as one of the highest satisfaction instructors and was promoted to team lead.
